Page history last edited by Simon Ellis 4 months ago

Kit

  • Panasonic AC adaptor (for charging battery)
  • Camera unit (SD700) – with added Lens hood
  • Remote control
  • USB cable (for attaching camera directly to computer)
  • AV multi-cable (for connecting to projector, TV etc)
  • Shoe adaptor (for adding external microphone, light etc)
  • Stylus pen – can't imagine ever using this
  • AC cable (figure 8) – used to connect the AC adaptor to mains
  • DC cable (for using camera when connected to mains)
  • AC adaptor (for charging & connecting mains power) – image shows battery connected
  • Batteries (VW-VBG130) x 2
  • User manual

Getting Started

Need to open LCD screen in order to a) power up the camera and b) release or connect the battery

LCD screen hinge feels very flimsy – take good care to never support the camera by the LCD screen

Careful

  • Always hold the camera with two hands – one for support, the other for focusing
  • Never fold the camera by the LCD screen (it will break off)
  • It's a good idea to reformat the SD card before a shoot (and definitely if you have an important shoot)
